Grosvenor: City Homes Eckington

We recently partnered with Grosvenor to tell the story of their multi-level housing development, City Homes Eckington, located in Washington D.C.. Through a commitment to improve communities and support the work of independent and local creators, Grosvenor commissioned three D.C.-based artists to complete a series of abstract works that are featured in the corridors at City Homes.

Featuring contemporary artists Julie Wolfe, Steven Cushner, and Caitlin Teal Price, we told the story of each artist, and their approach to creating this artwork gallery for Grosvenor. In collaboration with art advisor Caroline Wright, we featured each artist inside their on-location studio spaces to give a more intimate and honest look at their process. Using textural and close-up cinematography, we offered a look into how these three distinct artists created their work from start to finish. Weaving their work into the further work of the developer, we showed Grosvenor’s approach at creating a high-end modern housing development, while still in keeping with the local flavor and history of the Eckington neighborhood.
