Walden University: Tempo Learning Program

Working within a lot of higher education, medical, and corporate spaces over the years, one of the most compelling ways we've found to tell a story about a program is through the eyes of those who go through it. A day in the life, fly-on-the-wall type content gives the viewer a connection to a real person, as opposed to the impact of just having infographics or data presented onscreen.

One of the common things you always hear in regards to creative writing I think applies here, "Show, don't tell". Spending a day or two with a subject in documentary fashion, while still finding creative ways to get your information across in a subtle way, can be extremely impactful. There's something natural to a real person telling their story, as opposed to reading from a teleprompter or using actors. While still in some circumstances those approaches work well logistically, we feel as close as you can get to capturing real life moments, the better. Storytelling is always more exciting and engaging than relentless data displayed.

Here's a video we partnered with Walden University on, telling the story of Crystal, and her experience working through Walden's Tempo Learning Program. We spent two days with Crystal and her family in Charleston, South Carolina, capturing her day to day life moments in a crafted way, to highlight her experience working within the program. This campaign was a variety of final videos in total, with different aspect ratios, resolutions, lengths to use for posting across a variety of social media.

Our goal is to find creative ways to tell your business's story, but in a real, emotional way, to connect to your potential audience while also still maintaining a level of brand awareness.
